Every year, millions of pounds of wrapping paper and textile waste fill landfills around the world. Abadir Santa Barbara partners with designers and fabrication work rooms to rescue upholstery remnants from their landfill fate. Using these fine materials, Abadir creates heirloom gift bags, totes, clutches, and pouches so our customers can join in the effort to reduce landfill waste. Abadir bags are one of a kind and sewn by women in Santa Barbara, supporting the local economy. Abadir is committed to saving the planet one bag at a time.

So Clutch is there for you no matter what, day or night, from lunch with girlfriends to a black tie gala. This design was inspired by larger fabric swatches that I realized were just large enough to become one panel of a clutch. The So Clutch Clutch also includes a Mouse Pouch for you mini must-haves. Stash everything you need in this sleek-yet-sassy bag without it becoming bulky. It will come in “So Clutch”.
GOATT
(Greatest of all Time… Tote)
Everyone has a go-to tote, and pretty much everyone has one thing that they would love to change about it. I know, I had one too-- that’s why I created the GOATT. This bag has leather- reinforced straps and bottom, an internal key clip, and several pockets to withstand the trials and tribulations of errands, work, school, and more. The GOATT also comes with a Mouse Pouch, so you can even skip the wallet. Say goodbye to your previous old reliable—there’s a new GOATT in town.
Mouse Pouch
Named for our family’s 180-pound English Mastiff, “Mouse,” the Mouse Pouch is an essential for small, everyday items like lipstick, jewelry, or headphones. This was the first brainchild of Abadir Santa Barbara and was inspired by fabric swatches destined for the landfill that I acquired while working on a project in my own home. Gift special trinkets to others in a Mouse Pouch, or keep it for yourself. You deserve it.
Gifted & Extra Gifted
I sent my daughter to the opposite side of the country for college, and after taking Oceanography during her first semester, she insisted that our family forego wrapping paper on Christmas…two weeks before Christmas. Classic. Gifted and Extra Gifted were designed with that proclamation in mind. They are meant to be passed from one person to the next, for any occasion, without contributing to the obscene amounts of wrapping paper entering our landfills. Gifted is appropriate for items like wine bottles and candles, while Extra Gifted is a bit larger. The front pocket of these heirloom bags, holds a card to record the giver, receiver, and date of each gifting event, allowing you to track the bag’s journey over its lifetime.
